McDowell Mountain Ranch; Nestled in the beautiful McDowell Mountain range is this family oriented master planned community.  Starting with  3,200 acres it has 890 acres of desert hillside preserved. The homes meander up the side of the McDowells many with fabulous views of the city. The gentle slope of homes can be admired in the distance from the 101 freeway. The community has 4,475 residential units including 3,800 single family homes and 30 acres of office/retail space. The last builder sold out in July of 2003. During the process of development, McDowell Mountain Ranch received several awards for Master Planned Community design.
