Queen Creek/ San Tan Valley

dreamstimefree_883450

Queen Creek and San Tan Valley are located 20 miles southeast of Phoenix. The area offers spectacular views of the Superstition Mountains to the north and the SanTan and Goldmine Mountains to the south. Once large ranches and farmland, the area is bustling with growth. The production builders have created several  Master Planned Communities in the area and the reasonable pricing has had homeowners flocking south. The area in the past known as Queen Creek was split by the Maricopa/Pinal county boundary lines. The southern half was called many names, Bella Vista, Queen Creek, Johnson Ranch, “south of Queen Creek” and even has a small community called Santan. In 2009 the Post Office changed the postal zip codes and the new area voted on a name for itself. San Tan Valley was selected and although still working on incorporation, the newly divided Pinal County portion of Queen Creek is now is the largest community in Pinal County with 80,000 residents. The Maricopa County portion, the incorporated town of Queen Creek has a population of about 26,000.The quiet rural atmosphere has made this area a popular one. The town of Queen Creek is close to the SE corner of the 202 freeway loop. Freeways have yet to be developed in the Pinal County portion.
