These are areas of great interest just outside the main Valley. To the east there is the beautiful Gold Canyon. To the South there is Queen Creek, San Tan Valley and Maricopa and now Florence which have grown from huge ranches and farms into busy towns.
Phoenix is growing very rapidly and towns far outside the valley in all directions, where the big ranches have been sold to developers, will within the next five to ten years see large Master Planned Communities springing out of the desert. A couple are already taking advance reservations for home sales, whilst others may be available as ranches for sale. It is worth checking the area to see what will and will not occur from all of this, and where you can move to if you so desire in the future. Others are waiting until roads are widened and infrastructures are built.
