Solera at Johnson Ranch is a Del Webb Active Adult retirement Community located within Johnson Ranch but yet separated by a series of foothills. The homes were built between 2004 and 2008. It has its own gated entry and because it surrounds the foothills, Solera offers some of the best home sites in all of Johnson Ranch. There are many lining the golf course, hugging the hillsides or nestled in quiet cul-de-sacs. It is a small 55+ Adult community with less than 800 homes. They have a 10,000 sq ft. recreation center of their own featuring a billiards room, fitness center, library and outdoor pool. The residents of Solera in addition to their own amenities have the use of the facilities of Johnson Ranch itself. Johnson Ranch is located about 40 miles south of Phoenix in San Tan Valley in Pinal County. San Tan Valley was previously known as Queen Creek, but separated in 2009. Queen Creek is now located mostly to the north of the Maricopa/Pinal county line, and San Tan Valley is to the south.
